What to do if Perplexity isn’t working
- Check this page first. If many people are reporting problems, it’s an outage and the fix is on Perplexity’s side. Waiting is usually the only option.
- Check your connection. Open another website or app. If nothing loads, restart your router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Restart and update. Close Perplexity completely, reopen it, and install any app or system updates.
- Sign out and back in, or try the website instead of the app (or the other way round).
- Turn off VPNs or ad blockers for a moment, as they can block some services.

Questions about Perplexity outages
Is Perplexity down right now?
This page checks Perplexity every 5 minutes and shows reports from people having problems. The status at the top of the page is the latest result and updates on its own.
Why is Perplexity not working for me?
If the status shows no problems, the cause is probably local: your internet connection, an out-of-date app, your device or your network. Try the steps under “What to do if Perplexity isn’t working”.
How does this checker work?
We check whether Perplexity responds every 5 minutes, read its official status page where one is published, and count reports from visitors. A sudden rise in reports compared with normal levels is often the first sign of an outage.
